Real Estate succeeds in Harlem because they steal your property from under your nose.
Word on the curb is-#realestate is boomin' in Harlem.
A good thing, right?
NOT, when it's at the cost of losing churches and historic places.
We all know #Harlem is the home of our #BlackPrince, #MalcolmX.
On, Feb. 27, 1965, Faith Temple Church of God was the only church that was daring and bold enough to hold #MalcolmX funeral despite bomb threats.
Thousands lined up on Amsterdam Avenue to say farewell to #BrotherMalcolm.
Fast Forward decades later, Michael Henry Adams of #SaveHarlem was able to have Faith Temple Church of God put on the list of #NationalHistoricPlaces.
Despite the registry, the church was secretly sold to a private developer for 2.5 million dollars.
This historic landmark will be demolished for some condos. (i'm assuming)
This is very disturbing to me as this is not the only church in trouble.
Other churches are being forced to forfeit and share space with other churches.
What about our #BlackHistory?
Why isn't anything being said or done about this?
Oh yea, I forgot...
